Moxibustion
is a therapy that involves spraying the herbal extracts of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) on or near specific acupuncture points or areas of the body directly on the skin, followed by therapetic heat. Unlike traditional moxibustion, moxa spray produces no smoke, making it ideal for people with sensitivities to smoke. Although, stick moxa are also available at this clinic.
It is believed to stimulate circulation, gently turn a breech baby, promote the flow of qi (vital energy), warm the body, strengthen the body's defenses, boost immune function, alleviate pain and the discomfort of feeling "heavy or achiness" due to damp weather, and treat various health conditions.
Moxibustion is complimentary in First Initial Appointment and Follow Up Appointments, if applicable.
Ear Seeds
are a non-invasive way to stimulate acupressure points on the ear, supporting a variety of concerns such as stress, sleep issues, cravings, and pain management. A vacaria seed is placed on a small adhesive sticker and applied to specific points on the ear. Why the ear? Because in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the ear is a reflection of the entire body, making it a powerful microsystem for healing. These seeds provide continuous stimulation between treatments, enhancing their effectiveness.
Ear Seeds are complimentary in First Initial Appointment and Follow Up Appointments, if applicable.
Tui Na
involves various manual techniques to manipulate the body's soft tissues, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It's also known as a medical massage. The primary goals of tui na include promoting the circulation of blood and qi, relieving pain and tension, improving range of motion, and restoring balance and harmony to the body.
It is often used to treat musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, chronic pain, stress-related disorders, and various other health issues.
Tui Na is complimentary in First Initial Appointment and Follow Up Appointments, if applicable.
E-Stim (Electroacupuncture)
enhances acupuncture needles by using gentle electrical pulses to stimulate acupuncture points. It does not hurt, instead it feels like a light tapping sensation. This technique can be particularly effective for pain relief, muscle tension, and nerve-related conditions, promoting faster recovery and improved circulation.
E-stim is complimentary in First Initial Appointment and Follow Up Appointments, if applicable.
Lifestyle Modification
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) extends beyond acupuncture to include lifestyle and dietary guidance tailored to your unique needs. We may recommend specific foods and/or activites like foods to avoid or comsume to help support your healing journey and enhance the effects of your treatments.
Herbs
are complex formulas created from single herbs to create customized treatments for individual patients. These formulas typically consist of multiple herbs chosen for their specific properties and interactions, with each herb contributing to the overall therapeutic effect. Herbs can reach areas of the body that acupuncture needles cannot, making them a valuable complement to treatment. They also serve as a great alternative when you’re unable to attend an acupuncture session.
They come in forms of:
- Teapills
- Capsules
- Granules (powders)
- Tablets
TCM herbs encompass components derived from:
- Flowers
- Branches/twigs
- Leaves

- Many more
